Class A Headphone Amplifier -
The Audition is an ALL-FET Class A headphone amplifier offering exceptional resolution, and dynamics. Only FETs (JFETs and MOSFETs) are used as active elements in the amplifier. The resistors are all high quality Vishay-Dale and Caddock. All electrolytics are Nichicon Fine Gold muse. The compensation capacitors are MICA or Polystyrene.
The Audition power supply consists of separate dedicated supplies consisting of fast recovery diodes, eight (8) low ESR (equivalent series resistance) filter capacitors and dual wide-band, low noise regulators using only FETs (JFETs and MOSFETs) as active elements. Low noise Toroid power transformers using dedicated windings per channel gives the Audition clean, tight, and expansive low end resolution.
